How do I save a word while reading?
Select and share text with Lexmora from a compatible app. Support for text selection and sharing varies by reading app. You can also add words directly using Quick Add in the Library.
Why doesn’t my word have a definition yet?
Dictionary lookups need a network connection and depend on the provider having an entry. Your word stays saved even if a lookup fails. Check your connection and try again later; you can also add a personal meaning.
How do I practice my words?
Open Practice to choose scheduled flashcards or Meaning match. You can practice across your library or within a collection. Returning to the same activity continues an unfinished session.
Why didn’t I receive a reminder?
Review reminders are optional and appear only when reviews are due. Check your reminder settings in Lexmora and notification permission in Android settings. Android may deliver a reminder later than the preferred time.
Why can’t I hear a word?
Lexmora uses an installed Android text-to-speech voice. Check the voice and speech settings on your device, and make sure a suitable voice is available. Offline support depends on the voice and engine.
Why are generated examples unavailable?
Optional example generation requires a compatible device and a ready on-device model. Android 16 alone does not guarantee support. The rest of Lexmora works without this feature, and existing dictionary examples can still be used.
How do I move my library to another device?
Use the backup controls in Settings to export a ZIP file, then import it on the other device. You can preview the backup and choose Merge or Replace; Replace removes the current local library first. Automatic Android app-data backup and transfer are excluded, so keep your exported file somewhere safe.
Where is my information stored?
Your library and learning history are stored locally on your device. Dictionary lookups send the lookup word to the provider. See the Privacy Policy for details.
When reporting a problem, include your device model, Android version, and the steps that led to it. Please avoid sending private notes, passages, or backup files unless they are necessary.
