YOUR WORDS BELONG TO YOU
Privacy Policy.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Lexmora is designed to keep your vocabulary close to you. This policy describes how the Lexmora Android app and this website handle information.
Information stored on your device
Lexmora stores the information you save or create in the app, including words, shared text and passages, source details, meanings, notes, collections, generated examples, practice answers, review history, and settings. This information is stored locally on your device.
Lexmora has no account, custom developer backend, advertising, or analytics SDK. The developer does not receive a copy of your library through the app.
Dictionary lookups
To retrieve available definitions, Lexmora sends the lookup word to FreeDictionaryAPI.com. The provider also receives ordinary network request metadata, such as your IP address. Captured passages, personal notes, and review history are not included in dictionary requests. Dictionary results and their source attribution may be saved locally.
Pronunciation and optional examples
Pronunciation uses your installed Android text-to-speech engine. Available voices and offline support depend on your device and engine. A network voice may send the spoken word to the engine provider; choose an installed offline voice when available if you want local pronunciation.
On compatible devices, you can optionally generate original examples using an on-device Gemini Nano model through ML Kit. Model availability varies, and a model download may require a network connection and your explicit action. Generation runs on the device; Lexmora does not offer a cloud AI fallback. Generated examples you save are stored locally.
Reminders and permissions
Lexmora uses internet access for dictionary lookups and asks for notification permission when you enable optional review reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device. Android and your device settings control notification permission and delivery.
Backups and your choices
You can export a ZIP backup to a destination you choose using Android’s document picker, and import it later. The backup can contain personal notes, shared passages, vocabulary, learning history, and settings. A storage provider you choose may handle that file under its own terms; protect and delete exported copies separately. Lexmora excludes its app data from automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer.
You can manage saved content in Lexmora and clear app data or uninstall the app to remove the local copy. Export a backup first if you want to retain it. The developer cannot recover a library that exists only on your device.
This website and external services
This website consists of static pages and does not include an analytics or advertising tracker. A hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address and requested page, to serve or protect the site. External links and services have their own privacy practices.
